        Old Weang Ping

Seriously the best Thai food I've ever had period.
It is in a pretty scary neigborhood and they keep their doors locked so you need to call and make a reservation so they know you are coming. When you get there knock loud on the door and they come let you in. Once inside you are in a bamboo garden with a little coy water pond and greeted by Pat, the waiter and owner. Jook his wife is in the kitchen.
Service is slow, but the Shrimp and Chicken with Yellow Bean Sauce is to die for. The Lobster with Mung Bean sauce is so good they run out by 8 each night. Indian Crepe with Coconut Curry Shrimp....YUM...We never order off the menu. We order the specials and or just tell them to bring us 3-4 dishes. They only take cash. Very authentic Country Thai food.

If you like Peanut Sauce Thai Food, go somewhere else...not that you can't get it there, but the food at Old Weang Ping is Thai for an educated palate....and CHEAP

Can rave about this place enough.

We love this place too! My gf works at Mills and went here as an undergrad. I've been hooked ever since she turned me on to it last year! I really don't want Thai from anywhere else. The butter garlic sauce!!!
